# Installation Guide
To ensure maximum safety, all desktop builds are automated, scanned, and verified using SHA-256 checksums. We are currently undergoing the official developer certification process for Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper. Please follow the instructions below to safely launch the application.
Download the compressed .zip file using the Windows button.
Right-click the zip file and select "Extract All".
Open the extracted folder and double-click `LingoPrep Institution.exe` to start.
If Windows Defender SmartScreen blocks the launch, click "More info" then "Run anyway".
